CHAPTER NINTEEN
The next morning, I’m sitting in front of my locker before homeroom working on a sketch when Hayley plops down next to me. “How was your night?” Hayley knew I was going over Allie’s again and is looking at me with a huge grin on her face as if she already knows how wonderful the night was. I lean my head back against my locker smiling then tilt my head to look at her. “Incredible.” Hayley’s eyes get big and she grabs my shoulders. “Did you?” I laugh and shake my head. “No, not yet.”
I had told Hayley that we had decided to take things slow, but Hayley’s getting impatient to hear that I finally had sex with Allie, and find out how good it is. I don’t give Hayley graphic details about Allie and me, but give her enough she’s able to use her imagination. She also knows that the playing and teasing Allie and I do feels more amazing than it had with Jaime, so this revs Hayley’s excitement up even more.
I kind of want to tell my parents about Allie before it happens. When I finally make love to Allie, I want to be able to spend the night with her. My parents trust me and don’t really check up to make sure I’m where I say I’m going to be, but I don’t want to lose that trust by saying I’m staying at Hayley’s while actually staying at Allie’s. I want to be able to tell them the truth. I don’t think they will be happy with the idea of me sleeping over my girlfriend’s place, but I don’t think they will try to prevent it either. I’m almost eighteen so they really can’t make my decisions for me anymore. Hayley agrees, but worries my mom will freak out because of what happened with Jaime. But I figure, if they meet Allie, they will see how wonderful she is and worry less.
Allie’s not pushing me to talk to my parents, but I know she wants me to tell them about her. I think since I’m under eighteen and still living at home, Allie is a little hesitant to allow us to do certain things before they know – especially sleeping over her place. Knowing Allie as well as I do, I know she would object to me spending the night with her if my parents don’t know. If I want my relationship to progress and be as full as it can be, I need to tell my parents. Tonight when Allie calls after her shift at work, I’ll talk to her about it.
I finish telling Hayley about the night and she laughs really hard when I tell her about being tipsy from the drinks and making out with Allie while Beth was sleeping in the recliner. “Damn, Church Girl! You’re becoming quite the naughty little girl. Good thing you met Allie. If you hadn’t, you might have become some wild sex-fiend sleeping it up all over town with all the pretty lesbians and bi-curious girls.
